Building Inspiring Spaces

Homes are more than square footage and paint colors. Your home should be your place of respite, a space that brings you joy and comfort. It’s not only the place you eat and sleep, and it certainly shouldn’t be a place that causes you stress or grief. Home is the place you rest, recharge, reflect, and find inspiration. We believe your home should be designed to support you.

At Bigfoot NW we take pride in making your home a space you enjoy living in. We also take pride in our reputation as a committed, trustworthy, and approachable team based in Portland, Oregon. We thrive where creativity and craftsmanship meet form and function. We’re in the business of working for and with our clients, and we genuinely enjoy building mutual trust and providing you with the best possible end product.

Being a successful contractor requires strong relationships with various service providers throughout the timeline of a project. Leaning on experience and longevity, Bigfoot NW draws on proven relationships with the best local professionals to ensure your project is always in great hands. Our processes guarantee efficient scheduling, attention to the many details, and from start to finish, unparalleled project completion.

Meet Our Team

Adam Riffle
Adam RiffleCo-Owner
Raised on the traditions of hard work and integrity, Adam spent his formative years apprenticing with his father – one of his many mentors who fueled and supported his passion for building. As soon as he could hold a hammer, he loved spending time helping his father, learning from a very early age the essence of quality, ethics, and doing things right.

Now with decades of experience under his belt, Adam is an expert in construction management. Although native to the Northwest, Adam’s work has taken him to many remote places across the western US and New Zealand, building and managing everything from ski lifts to high quality homes to ecological habitat restoration projects.

In 2015 he moved to Portland, joined forces with Austin Chapin, and brought Bigfoot Northwest Construction to life with the vision to bring value and creative design to the Northwest Homeowner. Adam takes pride in sensitively integrating homeowner ideas and aspirations with creative and strategic solutions.

When Adam is not on a job site or pouring over spreadsheets, he spends as much time as possible outside hiking, skiing and enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Ethan Green
Ethan GreenCo-Owner
Dreams of being a small business owner have always been in the back of Ethan’s mind. Throughout his childhood, he watched his father run a successful home inspection business, and saw his mother flourish in the landscaping industry. Hard work and self-reliance are values instilled to Ethan by his parents, and are principles he carries with him to this day.

After graduating from Western Washington University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Ethan moved to Seattle. He quickly learned that the 9 to 5 office environment was not the right match for him, and soon after discovered carpentry where he was able to channel his creative energy and passion for building beautiful things. Working alongside his mentor and boss, a master carpenter, Ethan spent half a decade learning the art of high-end finish carpentry. Thrown into a fast paced environment, he excelled and quickly evolved his skills working on many exquisite, luxury homes. He’s gained a wide breadth of experience and has worked on projects that truly run the gamut; ranging from custom staircases to unique, tailor-made wine cellars.

Ethan’s dream of becoming a small business owner came to fruition after moving to Portland and joining forces with Adam, a childhood and lifelong best friend. Ethan brings a keen eye for detail, and a compassionate and understanding approach to all client relationships and the Bigfoot team.

Django Holt
Django HoltCo-Owner

Django Holt’s first introduction to home construction and design came at a very early age. His father owned and operated a design build firm, where Django’s first experiences of home builds include working on his own childhood home growing up. Committed to giving back to his community and supporting other youth to experience some of the skills and exposure he had at a young age, he helped teach construction courses to at-risk youth, alongside his father.

When starting his career, Django spent two years in the commercial construction industry before realizing his passions were squarely in residential building and design. Since making the transition, he’s gained educational experience in drafting and architecture, and most recently has spent the last half a decade building high end custom homes in Washington State; managing everything from job sites to subcontractors to fostering strong client relations.

Django currently resides in Bend, Oregon where he leads efforts at Bigfoot NW to streamline processes and ensure all clients have a smooth and stress free building experience. Skilled in drafting and design, he manages design projects and is excited to explore job prospects and partnerships in the Central Oregon region. When Django is not at his desk or on a job site, you can find him dipping his paddle in white water rapids, hanging off a steep pitch rock climbing, or scoping his next sweet ski line in the backcountry.
